FAQ – General

How do you get paid / how do I pay you?

Most attorneys operate on a retainer, flat fee, or hourly basis. In some cases, such as personal injury, payment may be on a contingency basis (you only pay if you win). You can speak with us to understand the payment structure and what you can expect.

How much will it cost?

Again, for personal injury or medical malpractice cases, you don’t pay unless we win, and then we take a set percentage once the case has been settled or won. For estate planning, we have packages available depending on your needs. For business litigation, we sometimes require a retainer upfront and then will move forward with monthly payments. Other times, we may take your case on a contingency.

Rest assured that we provide a transparent fee structure during your consultation, so you are aware of how we are moving forward.

How long will it take?

Each case timeline differs. Factors include court schedules, opposing party cooperation, and case complexity. As we have worked with thousands of clients, we will have a pretty good idea of case timelines once we hear more information about your case.

What should I expect?

You’ll receive a step-by-step guide tailored to your legal matter, outlining milestones and deliverables. We use an app called Case Status where we walk you through each step of your case. You will be able to upload and send documents or text directly with us through Case Status.

But mostly, you can expect attorneys who are welcoming, compassionate and listen to your needs. We center our practice around you and how we can ensure your case succeeds.

How will you communicate with me?

We communicate regularly via email, phone, but mostly we will use Case Status, our online app where we guide you through your case. You’ll have consistent updates from us and an easy way to get in touch directly with your attorney.

What do I need to do?

We’ll guide you on required documents, forms, and actions depending on your legal issue. What we ask is that you follow our guidance and maintain strong communication with us so we know what you need and how best to keep moving forward with your case.

Why should I choose your firm for my case?

We combine experience, specialization, and a results-driven approach to provide client-centered legal solutions. We have a proven track record in and out of court. With 40+ years of combined experience, you’ll get top Atlanta attorneys at a firm where you will feel like family. We are not a “mill” firm that will move you to settling as soon as possible. We take the time to get to know our clients and develop unique strategies. You’ll know your attorney’s name and we will know yours. You are not just another case number to us.

Who else needs to be involved in my case?

This varies depending on the type of case. Other parties could include witnesses, insurers, experts, or business partners. We will make sure to cover to ensure your case is as strong as possible.

Who else will know about my case?

We strictly follow confidentiality laws. Only necessary parties will be informed.
